🍃We often receive a question from our customers:
“How is Vietnamese ancient tree tea different from other teas?”
So in today's post, we would like to share a short, easy-to-understand explanation, so that everyone can feel why ancient tree tea is so highly treasured.
⛰️In the Pu Ta Leng range of Lai Chau province, tea is not grown to chase yields. The tea lives together with the forest.
The tea trees are not short like midland tea, nor are their branches cut back for easy picking. On the contrary, the trees stand 10–20 meters tall, and some giant trees reach up to 40 meters, rising above the forest canopy for hundreds of years.

🍃 Each year, the tea is picked in only one season. When the tea season comes, the local people must cross forests and wade through streams; some trips take half a day of climbing, and some even set out the night before, just to reach the towering ancient tea trees in time and pick each precious young bud by hand.
Spending a day following the villagers during the harvest season, seeing with your own eyes how small people look among the giant tea trees, you finally understand that each tea bud is earned not only with labor, but also with time, with patience and with a lifelong bond with the forest.

🍃Unlike tea harvested all year round, and unlike many ancient tea regions that have already been domesticated, Pu Ta Leng is the highest primeval ancient tea region in Vietnam.
The value of the tea lies in its low yield, its difficult harvest and the rare authenticity that has still been preserved.
🍵 And when you take a sip of Pu Ta Leng tea, what lingers is not only the taste of the tea, but the feeling of drinking a little of Vietnam's very real mountains and forests.
